The Second XI came away from the T20 Bowl finals day with the silverware.

The day began with a hard-fought three wicket win over Loughborough Greenfields as they recovered from 163 for 6 in pursuit of Greenfields' 214 for 5 to close it out with three wickets and eight balls to spare.

Zac Wills had set a frantic early pace with 80 from 29 balls and there were contributions from Waqas Akhter (40 from 30), Asim Khan (31 from 21), Tom Brotherhood (25 from 13) and Joe Davies (21 not out from 10) to help seal the passage to the County Final.

While the Regional Final had been nip and tuck the County Final was a more straight forward affair as the Langtons Seconds were never at the races in their pursuit of 214 for 6.

Micky Ruddle top scored with 50 from 22 to help set a challenging total. Again, there were solid contributions through the order with Akhter (35 from 34), Brotherhood (33 from 20), Davies (31 not out from 15) and Wills (30 from 11).

Tight bowling and solid fielding restricted the Langtons to 164 for 4, sealing a comfortable 50 run win and our first T20 Bowl title
