His distinctive bowling style, delivering the ball off the wrong foot, made him a familiar figure on the local cricket circuit before retiring in the late 1990s.

Dave enjoyed a successful spell as President from the beginning of the 2006 season through to the conclusion of the 2009 campaign, with us reaching our first ever Grace Road final in 2007, before he settled in to watching the teams from the boundary edge.

As well as loving cricket, where he was a familiar figure at Grace Road over the years, he was a season ticket holder at Leicester City and represented various pubs at long alley skittles.

Dave will be sadly missed by those who knew him. The thoughts of everyone at Mill Lane go out to Dave's friends and family at this sad time.
