Here's what the players had to say following the County Cup Final victory

Matt Ellis
"The toughest season in our history and we win the County Cup. Jake Gillett led from the front from start till the end. He kept us all calm and focussed on the task in hand. An absolute pleasure to watch his knock and be part of his squad."

"I hope the lads reflect on it in the next few days and realise how special and important it is for the whole club. The club feels like it’s back! What a year!"

Josh Winterton
"It was an amazing day for the club, great to see so many current and past members down supporting the lads in a great win. It was a well deserved win that topped off a great year for the club."

Micky Ruddle
"I'm not sure too many people would really understand how much winning this competition for my local club would mean to me. Anxious, excitement, emotion are just a few I felt in the build up and throughout."

"Watching the second innings was exceptionally horrible, telling the lads in the changing room not to move at all until we'd won it. I now have a County Cup medal to my name."

Ryan Dawson
"Players love big games, it’s what we all represent this club to strive towards. But to stand up and win in those moments shows just how hard working and talented this club is."

"Seeing what it meant to all those who supported us gives me immense pride and I’m forever proud to represent Sileby Town Cricket Club."

Kieran Chance
"An incredible day for the club. I’m so proud of all of us. A perfect end to a great season. Thank you to everyone for the support."

Greg Willows
"I think this past two weeks it's great to see this team and this club show how good we really are."

Ajay Khunti
"Unbelievable experience to play and be a part of the team that won the County Cup at Grace Road for Sileby. I couldn’t have asked for a better day with incredible love and support from everyone who came to watch."

"So proud of everyone, and the emotional celebrations together just showed how much it meant to everyone at the club."

Will Wade
"Sundays game showed just what an amazing club we’ve got at Sileby. The support throughout the whole season has been outstanding and there’s been a lot of people involved, so thank you to everyone."

The final word, goes to the skipper, Jake Gillett
"I just want to thank the army of supporters and volunteers that followed us all season. We have had some great days out and I hope yesterday was enough to pay you all back for your outstanding support and commitment."

"To the lads, I’ve nothing more to say than thank you. They know what they mean to me and they know how grateful I am for their support and how proud I am of them."
