UPDATED USE OF NETS AND TRAINING SESSIONS AT MILL LANE FROM 21/07/2020

Sileby Town Academy Committee met on Monday 20th July to discuss getting junior training and matches started.

Our net facilities from Tuesday July 21st are open to allow members (not living within the affected areas of the Leicester Lockdown) take part in cricket activity at Sileby Town Cricket club. This must be conducted by using a strict booking system which will be managed with Equity and fairness for any member wishing to use the facilities.

Conditions of Usage of the Nets
This advice is principally to clarify our responsibilities towards other members. Covid-19 is a deadly disease which continues to circulate in the community. Some of us may be young and/or immune but we can also be a carrier of the virus and pass it on to others who may be less fortunate. Therefore, the use of the nets will be monitored, and the guidance below strictly enforced.
Any member or members in breach of the guidance would constitute an unwarranted risk to the health of others the club will explore disciplinary measures.
Summary of Main Points

  • Only members who have registered for the 2020 season via the Pitchero website www.silebytown.com may use the training facilities.
  • Members who live in the affected areas of the Leicester Lockdown will not be allowed to use the facilities and MUST NOT attend Sileby Town Cricket Club
  • The clubhouse can now open, however the changing rooms and showers are closed.
  • The Club is required to maintain an accurate written record of contact information for those who have used the nets to support contact tracing in the case of a suspected or confirmed COVID-19 infection. The online booking system has been devised for this very purpose and is compulsory.
  • Net Bookings are for a limited number of up to 8 per group and you must vacate the nets immediately after the session. Group of up 15 juniors and 30 senior players can train together, adhering to ECB's Step 4 return to cricket guidance
  • The government guidelines of social distancing must be observed at all times.
  • Only those who have booked AND had their booking confirmed will be allowed to use the nets,
