Naylor makes First Class debut

Our 2025 overseas player James Naylor capped a superb year by making his First Class debut for Northern Districts yesterday.

The right-arm seamer, who claimed 54 wickets for us this season, returned home at the end of the season and has started the season back in his native New Zealand in fine fettle.

The 25-year-old Auckland native took the new ball for Northern Districts against Auckland Aces and picked up his first wicket by trapping Bevon Jacobs leg before for 26. Auckland closed the day on 302 for 8 with Jimmy returning figures of 21-4-56-1.

The Northern Districts side is skippered by Kiwi Test star Jeet Raval and also boasts one of the best batters around in multi-format international star Kane Williamson.

We're hugely proud and happy for Jimmy on making his debut and wish him all the best for the rest of the game and the rest of the season.
