They recovered from an early innings wobble to ease home by six wickets with 11 balls to spare at home to Cosby.

Skipper Sam Gale won the toss and asked the visitors to bat first and will have been delighted with the start his side made as Will Wade had the visitors three down before they had 30 on the board.

The left armer bagged 3-11 and was ably supported by Thomas Blay, with the off spinner taking 2-12 en route to restricting the visitors to 105 for 8.

Cosby were indebted to Ram Odedra for his unbeaten 42 from 39 balls for boosting their total.

Matt Sharpe (2-19) struck two early blows to remove Chris Bulmer (0) and Waqas Akhter (16) before there were 30 on the board and those scalps were added to with Ritesh Grandhi (5) and Joe Charity (10) being back in the hutch before 50 had been breached leaving things in the balance.

However, an unbroken stand of 61 between Pete Willcocks (32* from 25 balls) and Mikey Phillips (30* from 23 balls) re-set the balance and saw the Seconds home by six wickets.
