We're delighted to announce that we are running an alternative fundraising event this year to take the place of our annual bonfire and fireworks event. With the current Covid-19 regulations preventing large gatherings, our Bonfire and Fireworks event will not run as we look to play our part in reducing the spread of the virus. Instead, we've taken the opportunity to find a new way to raise funds and engage with our local community at this time.

We have teamed up with ecoracing.co to deliver an exciting Halloween themed Balloon race launching on 31st October 2020.

We know how well our fireworks event has engaged our local community and we wanted to offer the opportunity to take part in a 100% eco-friendly virtual balloon race!!

Balloons can be purchased for just £3, the First prize for the Halloween Balloon race is £500 and there are other prizes to be won including a brand new iPad 10.2" 32gb!!

The simple steps to winning a prize

Create an account. We need to know who you are if you win!
Buy or sell virtual balloons to colleagues, friends and family using social media
Decorate, track and when the race ends, check if you’ve won a prize

We understand it might be really obvious when you try to buy a balloon as to the process to follow. Please follow the detailed instructions below if this is the case:

CREATING AN ACCOUNT

Before you can buy a balloon, gift an activation code, activate a gifted code, or start fundraising for your own cause, you must create an account otherwise we do not know who you are if your balloon wins.
On the sign in page, BEFORE entering your email address and password, click on the BLUE [Create and Account] link and fill in a few personal details to help identify the prize winners.

Each balloon costs just £3 and you can buy as many balloons as you want to increase your chances of winning, and of course, indirectly donate more to your favourite cause.

BUYING OR GIFTING BALLOONS

Sign in to go direct to your personal dashboard. Click the [ buy / gift / activate ] button just below future races. An alphabetical list of causes and charities is displayed - select the cause or charity you favour / support. On the cause page click the blue button
[ Buy balloons for you | Buy activation codes to gift | Activate a gifted code ]
The next screen will then give you 3 options.

Click [ Buy balloons for you ] and buy as many balloons for your favoured charity that you can afford. Alternatively, you can buy activation codes to gift to friends and family – note that an activation code is the same as a purchased balloon i.e. is valuable.

Click [ Buy activation codes to gift ] and buy as many codes as you wish to give to friends and family. A code is the same as a balloon but prepaid and therefore free to the recipient. All the purchased codes will be sent directly to you by email for redistribution by any suitable method - email, text or WhatsApp, for example. Please ensure you use the person’s correct email address or telephone number as mistakes cannot be rectified
