With the first Soar Valley wicket falling in the first over the visitors were on the back foot from the outset, tight bowling and disciplined fielding on display through the innings.
Teagan Broughton, Prisha Thanawala and Isobel Walker with a wicket a piece restricted Soar Valley to 83/4 from their alloted 20 overs.

Thanawala and Jayde Patterson set the tone for the Sileby Response racing to 22 for 1 after 3 overs, Thanawala (13) the victim of an excellent delivery from Dhiru that crashed into the off stump. The strike rate continued at a pace with excellent contributions from Patterson (25 retired) and Flora Davies (23 not out) before debutant Louise Worth struck a boundary down to Third Man to hit the winning runs.

The entire game was played in an excellent spirit with everyone getting the opportunity to bat or bowl from both teams. An excellent all round display for a team wearing their new coloured shirts sponsored by Roots Mortgages.

The girls travel to Egerton Park Next wednesday to take on their Under 15's.
