Sileby Town Cricket Club net booking changes during Leicester Lockdown.

Our net facilities (only) from Wednesday July 1st are open to allow members (not living or working within the affected areas of the Leicester Lockdown) take part in cricket activity at Sileby Town Cricket club. This must be conducted by using a strict booking system which will be managed with Equity and fairness for any member wishing to use the facilities.

Conditions of Usage of the Nets
This advice is principally to clarify our responsibilities towards other members. Covid-19 is a deadly disease which continues to circulate in the community. Some of us may be young and/or immune but we can also be a carrier of the virus and pass it on to others who may be less fortunate. Therefore, the use of the nets will be monitored, and the guidance below strictly enforced.
Any member or members in breach of the guidance would constitute an unwarranted risk to the health of others the club will explore disciplinary measures.
Summary of Main Points

  • Only members who have registered for the 2020 season via the Pitchero website www.silebytown.com may book the nets.
  • Members who live or work in the affected areas of the Leicester Lockdown will not be allowed to use the facilities and MUST NOT attend Sileby Town Cricket Club
  • The pavilion, including changing rooms, showers and toilets are closed.
  • The Club is required to maintain an accurate written record of contact information for those who have used the nets to support contact tracing in the case of a suspected or confirmed COVID-19 infection. The online booking system has been devised for this very purpose and is compulsory.
  • Bookings are for a limited number of up to 6 per group and duration of 50 minutes and you must vacate the nets immediately. You may not stay to socialise.
  • The government guidelines of social distancing must be observed at all times.
  • Only those who have booked a slot AND had their booking confirmed will be allowed to use the nets,
  • DO NOT TURN UP TO THE GROUND UNLESS YOUR BOOKING IS CONFIRMED

Available times are available via this calendar, and each booking will be for 1 hour (consisting of 50 mins of exercise and 10 minutes crossover time.
Members must leave the ground as soon as the 50 minute net session is complete.
Use of the net facilities is free of charge to members.
