No sooner had the end of the 2019 cricket season ended and the end of season ground repairs having been completed the flood waters came and went continually over a period of seven weeks leaving the £3,500 spent on the wicket and outfield renovations down the drain.
Added to that, there was the cancellation of our annual fundraiser - our end of year fireworks display - which has left the remaining work, rendering the outside of the building, unfinished. The funds for the rendering would have come from the money raised at the fireworks display.
To help us to complete these two projects we've launched a crowd funding page on the platform Spacehive to help us raise £8,864 to cover the two projects.
As a community club we're looking for the local community to help us raise the funds needed before the pledge window closes on 30 April.
We're already hugely grateful to Thurmaston company Sterling POS Solutions Ltd for pledging £500 towards the projects - why don't you join them?
