A five wicket haul from Chris Preston helped bowl City Cricketers out for just 99 in the first innings to back his skippers decision to bowl first having won the toss.
Preston was well supported by off spinner Will Rossiter (2-20) and Sam Martin (2-28) as their opponents crumbled inside 25 overs with Preston sealing his five-wicket haul with the final wicket of the innings.
Their reply was never going to be easy with City Cricketers having a wide variety in their attack which has dealt with pretty much every opponent in Division 5 this season, and so it proved as wickets fell regularly during the Sileby reply.
Connor Simon, so often the glue that holds the innings together, was dismissed early before a break in play for tea with Sileby 15 for 1 at that stage.
James Preston (10) departed not long after play resumed and despite wickets falling regularly the scoreboard was ticking over with Danny Hill anchoring the innings.
Pretty much all of the other batsmen got starts without being able to keep Hill company for long enough to see the side over the line.
Hill's unbeaten 33 proved to be the pivotal innings for Sileby as he and Nathan Preston (4 not out) were able to see their side over the finishing line with four wickets to spare to spark wild celebrations amongst the players.
Sileby's win is not only their third straight title but also means that no other side has managed to get their hands on the trophy since the competition inception.
