Ladies slip to narrow defeat

Our opening bowler, Sarah Parker, set the tone with a wicket in the first over. The home team was strong in the field, with one of our debut players, Megan Stanier, taking two great catches. Sadly, we had to sub off our wicket keeper mid-game after taking a nasty nick on the finger – get well soon Urvi! The home team’s hard work in the field paid off as we kept Burton Latimer to a score of 95.

Despite some good performances from the batting line-up, including another debut player, Catherine Gough, the team ended all out for 75. All in all, it was good game (despite the weather) and it was a great experience to play against Burton Latimer who are the Division above us.
