With the league game at Plumtree having been rearranged from August the weather earlier in the week had suggested a bright finish to the 2019 cricket season - but the weather had other ideas as the heavens opened and both sides played through the conditions.
The home side bossed the game right from the toss as they put Sileby in and their bowlers took control from the outset. Only skipper Phoebe Shelton (16) managed to make double figures as her side were dismissed for 44.
The Plumtree batters made short work of their target as they chased it down inside seven overs with only Polly Huband registering a victim for Sileby.
Despite the defeat Sileby stay in second and will be taking part in the restructured Premier League in 2020 - an amazing achievement from the ladies.
