In Silebys’ second game of the day against Thrapston, our Captain (Phoebe) won the toss and decided to bowl first. Polly opened the bowling again with Phoebe and took some quick wickest. Phoebe kept the batters score low.
Brodie came onto bowl and took 3 wickets from her 3 overs. Beth Black also took a wicket with a catch from Chloe.
All the team contributed to keeping the score low, and they all shown great teamwork again. This led to Thrapston setting a total of 246.
Unfortunately, Sileby lost a few wickets throughout the match. With the top batting score from Phoebe, who contributed 23 runs to the score, hitting many strong 4s. Polly and Pasty also ran many singles, to keep the score bard ticking over. Silebys’ total was 223 which led to a disappointing lose to the end of the day.
Sileby has made it through to the final day at Plumtree on the 23rd of June. Let’s hope that we keep the good work up and win the super 8s final.
